How it works

Human-in-the-loop takeoff for misc-metals stairs and rails. No auto-detect — you measure; the app does the tape math and Excel.

1. Step 1

   Upload the set

   Create a project and upload a commercial plan PDF. Multi-page sets are fine — we store the file so you can return to the takeoff.

2. Step 2

   Calibrate scale

   On a dimensioned sheet, click two points on a known length and enter the real feet. Scale is stored per page with page width/height so LF stays accurate.

3. Step 3

   Measure LF and counts

   Trace guardrails and handrails as polylines. Click posts and stair flights as each. Quantities update as you work.

4. Step 4

   Export Excel

   Download a sheet with item, qty, unit, page, and note — ready to drop into your shop bid template. Pricing stays with you.
